The plastic bag as something eternal, homeless, wandering, always looking for something to get attached to. Who wants a life without death?

Frankly though, I am more taken by the idea than the execution - which relies too heavily on images we expect.

This is one of the most enjoyable shorts I've ever seen. The message is so profound, yet very simple. When Herzog delivered the final line about what he'd say to his maker I almost cried. I prefere this to any Herzog directorial piece. Lovely!! :)

One of Herzog's worst. It was the "bag scene" from American Beauty recapitulated with Herzog's ponderous pondering that amounted to absolutely nothing.

My mind is like a plastic bag / That corresponds to all those ads / It sucks up all the rubbish / That is fed in through by ear / I eat kleenex for breakfast / And use soft hygienic weetabix / To dry my tears

Interesting film. It's well-exposited, and takes flight occasionally, but I never got over the fact that it's a film about a plastic bag with a German accent. That said, I'm huge Bahrani fan. I loved the visuals, and loved his use of sound.

Rich in content and visuals. Seriously a beautiful film, but in my opinion, Herzog's narration was dull and took away from the bag's character- at least I thought that. Nicholas Cage would have been a better narrator.

ramin bahrami is a genius, how come a movie only about plastic can be so beautiful and touching..and herzog's narration gives more power to the movie.

Brilliant and beautifully made allegory of life by Bahrani, and as usual, Herzog's narration is great and hypnotic.

As someone who gets weirdly attached to balloons and frets over their slow demise, I found this touching.

Nice arty eco short. But it is just to obvious - it's based on the first association you get when someone says "plastic". It could be so much more.

Has anyone ever seen the short "Yo! Plastic Bag" by Dada artist Doug Poger? Is this anything like that?
