Synopsis

Everything is fine for Samuel and Nadia : he will soon be a male nurse and she’s expecting their first child. But everything changes when Nadia is kidnapped in front of him. Later he gets a phone call : if he wants to see his wife alive again, he has only three hours to get a patient under police surveillance out of the hospital where he works.

Makes you forget how barren this genre usually is. Masterful pacing, and an unbearably tense final set-piece. Innevitabalises the US remake.

Impressive film in terms of action and thrills. Really shows that the rest of the world is catching up to Hollywood in the production values in the action/thriller genre. Point Blank is a film that shows the gritty underworld of Paris that is rarely portrayed in films, but it is in kind of in the same lineage of how Taken portrayed Paris, only with a more futuristic and sterile feel.
