Precious is as obvious and clear as the complexion of Mongol and her mother. When the ending credit rolled I kind of thanked God and cursed myself for the involvement of Tyler Perry. Thanking because of he’s not the one who directed it, and cursing because why i didn’t realise since the Precious recalling Perry’s usual depiction of that silly Madea character. And Precious is like Oprah herself in the talkshow, quiet and listening to her guests then talk a little to show some observations spiced-up with her funny side (ironically Precious mumbles on the voiceover that she even can’t digest simple conversations). It’s a kind of movie where people re-affirm themselves that they’ve been in her shoes and the helluva kind of place. It’s pity something we could learn about life is as thin as Mariah Carey’s make-up, not sexy bosom of Gabourey. Quoting Ray Carney “if you want to send message, use Western Union”.
