When trompe l’oeil painter Faith Crowell (Meg Tilly) accepts a commission to paint a mural in the ballroom of a wealthy socialite’s Long Island manse, she has no inkling of her employer’s sinister history. As she re-creates on the wall the debutante ball of the woman’s daughter, however, terrible details about that fateful night — which ended with the daughter’s death — are slowly revealed.
