Synopsis

Ready, set, go! In this fact-based film, a spunky high school teacher (Halle Berry) in Hawaii spurs a group of underachieving working-class kids to enter a statewide race of solar-powered vehicles from their own design. The vehicle dubbed “The Cockroach” wins the state tourney and is awarded a berth in the World Solar Challenge. Race the Sun is on-the-mark entertainment that hits the mark — for the whole family!
