Redemption

Katie Wolfe’s story about Zig and Jaffa is situated somewhere in the darker parts of Taranaki, New Zealand. They are two Maori teenagers trying to push through their everyday hell. They spend their days getting wasted and playing their game ‘Redemption’, in which they take the horror and pain of their lives, and transform it into love and healing. But one day, while playing ‘Redemption’, their lives turn upside down. Katie Wolf shows how something tragic can be beautiful. –Stockholm International Film Festival
