I saw this in 2008 (in a theater no less, gotta love LA sometimes) and it energized me and got me thinking about storytelling in a way nothing had since I saw Science of Sleep in 2006. It also reminded me of Trainspotting in that it’s a believable story about a group of guys you might like to know. In many ways I find Reprise superior to both. It’s cerebral enough to keep your brain from atrophying but still kinetic, irreverent, gutsy, and honest. My wife and I were both so absorbed we forgot it was in Norwegian, so if you’re afraid of the subtitles get over it.
