Ho hey for the day Steve Buscemi pops up out of four movies as: an American tourist dazzled by Paris and its people, oh those people!, a professional gangster, a waiter with thoughts on coffee & cigarettes, and a middle-age homosexual in the '50s. Maybe I should watch Boardwalk Empire tonight.
(rewatch) timid and classical in comparison to the loosey-goosey tarantino i prefer ("ingorious basterds" especially), but still resonates as a decent neo-noir. not quite as lively as i remembered it, especially during the pointless "mr. white" backstory, but the notorious sequences still pack a punch. in particular, the pseudo-maternal homoeroticism between roth and kietel is as strange and deliberate as i remember.
i think Reservoir Dogs is far better than Pulp Fiction,the....ah,ribet bahasa inggris, entah kenapa R.D ini lebih geblek dan gokil dari pada P.F,alur cerita non-linear di R.D lebih enak diikutin dan worth watching berkali2 dibanding P.F yang struktur 3 babaknya kagak urut,by the way,Do you ever listen to K-Billy's "Super Sounds of the Seventies" weekend? It's my personal favorite......#agakpsycho.
after going back and watching dogs after a couple of years its reminded me why i loved tarantino the whole film has such a cool swagger to it. the actors - the dialogue - k billy's super sounds of the seventies - awesome.
This would have made a great short film, the first 30minutes before the "Mr Orange" flashback are sensational.
A great collage by quentin. Thanks to a better tomorrow II, django, the taking of Pelham one two three, city on fire etc etc...
You either know that Reservoir Dogs is a masterpiece or you haven't realized it yet. Nothing Tarantino has done so far in his career has shocked me, disturbed me, or moved me as much as Reservoir Dogs did. The dialogue is razor sharp and the tension is as thick as it comes. The acting across the board is brilliant - Tim Roth is the standout. I don't think Tarantino will ever make a better film?
