The most original Tarantino's piece of work. No further thoughts needed.

Ho hey for the day Steve Buscemi pops up out of four movies as: an American tourist dazzled by Paris and its people, oh those people!, a professional gangster, a waiter with thoughts on coffee & cigarettes, and a middle-age homosexual in the '50s. Maybe I should watch Boardwalk Empire tonight.

I wasn't crazy about the plot, but the execution and foundation that Tarantino laid out for his future films was pretty impressive.

Two Films That Quentin Tarantino Has Directed 1992's Reservoir Dogs And 1994's Pulp Fiction Are Two Of My Favorite Films.

(rewatch) timid and classical in comparison to the loosey-goosey tarantino i prefer ("ingorious basterds" especially), but still resonates as a decent neo-noir. not quite as lively as i remembered it, especially during the pointless "mr. white" backstory, but the notorious sequences still pack a punch. in particular, the pseudo-maternal homoeroticism between roth and kietel is as strange and deliberate as i remember.

This would have made a great short film, the first 30minutes before the "Mr Orange" flashback are sensational.

You either know that Reservoir Dogs is a masterpiece or you haven't realized it yet. Nothing Tarantino has done so far in his career has shocked me, disturbed me, or moved me as much as Reservoir Dogs did. The dialogue is razor sharp and the tension is as thick as it comes. The acting across the board is brilliant - Tim Roth is the standout. I don't think Tarantino will ever make a better film?
