Staffers at a chic bistro in Hoboken, N.J., strive to preserve harmony at work and to find contentment as their creative ambitions, multiethnic friendships and love lives unravel. Director Eric Bross’s evocative indie drama centers on tortured alcoholic bartender Chris Calloway (Adrien Brody), who attempts to purge the emotional pain left by a racist father and a shattered interracial affair with waitress and aspiring singer Jeanine (Elise Neal).
