Synopsis
A nicely accomplished, even inspired, local rendering of Shakespeare’s greatest and most tragic love story. Boy meets girl, they fall in love. She, a daughter of a famous judge, he, the son of a cruel biker boss on trial presided by her father. What can go wrong? Of course, everything does. Until then, we get to watch a cute teenage couple in bliss, the great Jeanne Moreau as a concerned grandma, and we can spot some of Montreal’s locations where it takes place. —Hour.ca

I remember I was watching West Side Story and my sister came on and told me about the Quebec Romeo & Juilette. She told me that Juliette decides to kill herself by intoxicating herself with pills at a center for old people... when I learned that I bursted in laugh for 2 minutes. I'm serious. Yves Desgagnés's director career started with Idole instatanée in 2005. It ended one year later with this movie.
