A lonely life

By Danny Kana on April 18, 2011

“Rosetta”, directing by the Dardenne Brothers, is one of a kind. The shaky camera and close-ups make the experience feel all so real.

Emilie Dequenne’s performance as Rosetta is remarkable. Rosetta tries so hard just to be a normal human being, but her alcoholic mother and poverty make it hard for her to do that.

“Rosetta” was a very good film, and a well made film. It just wasn’t for me.
Although the inner conflict stayed the same, nothing really happened to make me care about what was going on for Rosetta during the film.
