Hates are gonna hate. This wonderful film captures the existential angst that faces all of us with each character erupting into songs that capture the moment. This movie is very much a Jean-Pierre Bacri & Agnès Jaoui one and reminded me of The Taste of Others a lot. I am sure I lost much of the wit and humour in translation, but there is much to be loved in this movie.
A rather slight soufflé where, unlike Dennis Potter, the all-too-frequent bursts of song float like pellets on the surface on the already wafer-thin narrative, adding little except interruption.
