Sands of the Kalahari

When a chartered plane collides with a swarm of locusts and crashes in a remote area of the South African desert, the survivors are prepared to do battle with their harsh surroundings — but not each other. Among those waiting to be rescued are a divorcée (Susannah York), a doctor (Theodore Bikel), an engineer (Stanley Baker) and the plane’s pilot (Nigel Davenport). Cy Endfield directs this big-screen adaptation of William Mulvihill’s novel.
