A rather touristic view of events, which is more in awe of the social milieu than with being a focused dissection of political or emotional consequences. Like so many of these raids on recent history it ends up being an assemblage of object d’art and popular songs, strung around key scenarios and fruity cameos. It has an arch frothiness, but not much else.
I've come to despise such films and their inability to look past the clothing of the situation and into the situation itself.
