When James Spader asks you "Do you really want to be my secretary?", you just say yes. Or rather, "Yes, sir." Funny, sexy and well-paced, it was still delicious in a repeat viewing after a decade.

Slightly unsettling to find yourself sympathise with the protagonist, a confused, simple-minded girl with the habit of self-mutilation. But that's what happened. Also thanks to the best "Man With Strange Obsession" ever, James Spader.

This is a dark love story with some black humours. For the themes supplied here, it's very original with unusual subject matter that downright bizarre, quirky, rauncy and totally off-beat. And it is such a pure delight to see Maggie's portrayal of the character and the chemistry between the two lead casts.

This movie was pretty entertaining at first but then fell flat in the last 45 minutes when I realized I was just waiting for more spanking which never occured and I go t nothing else out of this film but the enjoyment of seeing something unusual in the movie...
