Sex and a Girl

Coming of age in 1979 is no cakewalk, even for an accomplished dancer like Alex Markov (Angela Gots). For one thing, her sexually active friends are pressuring her to lose her virginity. And for another, her unconventional mother (Ellen Greene) is exploring her own sexuality by taking on an arsenal of boyfriends. Surrounded by crazy people, Alex has no choice but to stay focused on her lifelong dream: getting into Juilliard.
