On a pilgrimage to Italy to find Weldon Parish (Harvey Keitel), his literary idol, a budding young writer named Jeremy (Joshua Jackson) finds exactly what he’s looking for — and then some. But a funny thing happens while Weldon’s encouraging Jeremy to expand his worldview: He finds his protégé has something to say, too.
