Synopsis

Jackie Chan stars in this parody of American Westerns as Chon Wang, a clumsy imperial guard who trails Princess Pei Pei (Lucy Liu) when she is kidnapped from the Forbidden City and transported to America. Wang follows her captors to Nevada, where he teams up with an unlikely partner, outcast outlaw Roy O’Bannon (Owen Wilson), and tries to spring the princess from her imprisonment in this charming action-comedy.

This is a passable family action comedy movie. This was the movie that introduced Owen Wilson as a bankable leading man after years of staying behind the scenes as a co-writer with Wes Anderson for classics such as Bottle Rocket and Rushmore. Considering how a lot of people don't seem to care about Wilson anymore, maybe this was the beginning of the end for him? Who knows. Ya don't need to see it more than once.
