Synopsis

When Phil (Jason Bateman) learns that he’s dying from leukemia, he reunites with his estranged childhood friends, Rob (Jonathan Silverman) and Gene (C. Thomas Howell), in order to drive from Cleveland to California. During their raucous journey, the pals learn much about life, death and friendship. Vivacious waitress Mary (Annie Potts) falls for Rob and joins the trio, whose varied adventures include facing down a bear and overcoming road rage.
