Suitably louche and finely dated swinging 60s time capsule piece where Birks met Serge and the rest was history. Serge is suitably Serge-y even if he can't act worth a dime (neither can Jane) as film meanders aimlessly between Serge's post-sync mumbling and musical interludes. Fun for completists.
A fun and shallow (not a bad thing) film about commitment, settling down and boredom. If you are not a fan of Serge and Jane, don't watch this. For the rest of us, it's irresistible. Jane is heartbreakingly beautiful, even if she acts very childish. Serge is, well, Serge.
