Michael McGowan’s Still is an exquisitely mounted and deeply affecting love story about one man’s determination to create a suitable home for his ailing wife. Veterans James Cromwell and Genevieve Bujold are nothing short of magnificent as they mine the subtext in the story of a couple with a deep and complicated past. –TIFF
Still Mine. McGowan after the mistake 'Score' returns to the heartstring cinema he excels at previously seen with "Saint Ralph" and "One Week". The warm interplay between Cromwell and Bujold richly elevates this tale that touches on tradition, marriage, ageism and bureaucracy. If "One Week" illustrated Canadian wanderlust and space this one does the same for Government bureaucracy and red tape. Warm, rich treacle.
