Meise is quite good when setting up the plot with the letter, thus for the first 10 minutes the movie does seem where it's headed at. But it's all the way downhill from there: there's no plot to deal with and no connection between the actors, not to mention the father is just a draft for a character. The movie ends way past the time I cared for any of it.
