In this hip-hop drama, street crew Breaking Point and uptight ballet academy students wage a blistering turf battle when mischievous headmistress Helena (Charlotte Rampling) forces the squads to work out in the same practice space. With street championships and ballet auditions coming up, the stakes are high for both groups, but Breaking Point leader Carly (Nichola Burley) strikes a chord with classically trained Tomas (Richard Winsor).
Appalling, the film fails to marry the world of cinema and dance effectively, if at all. Beyond embarrassing at points, the likes of Rampling being present here is almost distressing. It in the end amounts to nothing more than an attempt to cash in on the dance craze that swept the late 2000s through the likes of So You Think You Can Dance. So You Think You Can Make Movies? Um, no.
