The late Gene Siskel (1946-1999) was a big fan of this film and considered it a guilty pleasure. It is surprisingly not bad at all, and I liked how it avoided becoming melodramatic. Sad that Valérie Quennessen had died in an automobile accident in 1989.
I very foolishly missed this film when it was first released. Well worth watching, has sun sea and super action. Rather difficult to find a decent copy. I just love the music ,scenery and the assortment of characters A real happening!
