This film was a little too long and there was a talking dog but the strength of the performances are what made it a decent movie.

Uneven, yes, and definitely not without a number of problems (the big one: it's too long), I was surprisingly captivated by the film (especially its handling of its "ensemble-ness"). Plus tough not to enjoy the soundtrack.

BOTCHED...what could have been (and should have been) a mix of Scorsese/Lee/Fincher turned out to be a dull, poorly edited mess with virtually every actor miscast
