Certo, rimpiango di non averlo visto negli anni '70. O forse di non averlo visto in una età più innocente.
God, Argento is such a boss. This reminded me of Rosemary's Baby in some parts . . . and the EDing was just as weak . . . but I still loved it >:D Green and red lights plus stabbing beating heart ftw!
It’s quite a bit sillier than I thought it would be given its reputation but the set designs are gorgeous, the lead actress is very charming and it has the noble distinction of having a nearly all-female cast that isn’t sexualized or made to seem inept. Recommended for some good cheesy fun for horror lovers, art deco enthusiasts and those who are interested in a rarely seen sort of female lead.
Great costumes. Thoughtful sets, although they looked fake. Really bad acting and flimsy story, though. 3/5
Wow. fucking horrifying experience. I enjoyed the ride so much, I was left speechless at the end.
Hey, Google 'Suspiria Ita' and then you have to download the English subtitles separately. The bit with Helena Markos at the end is quite different! (and better)
Pure cinema. A piece of art that couldn't translate to any other medium. It exists solely in its own logic both in its (loose) story and hallucinogenic imagery. Beautiful, brutal, and bizarre, it's unlike anything else. Some might wince at remakes of other classic horror, but I can see where they could work. Not so of 'Suspiria'. Being so individualistic that I can't imagine it being the vision of anyone else
