When a moneylender confiscates a family’s pet donkey to satisfy their debts, 8-year-old Tahaan (Purav Bhandare) refuses to accept the loss of his beloved Birbal and sets off across Kashmir to bring back his devoted animal friend. After Tahaan tries unsuccessfully to get the donkey back from its new owner, he accepts a mysterious offer from a young stranger, one that may be his last chance to bring Birbal back to his family.
