The movie would be a lot better if it wasn't so pleased with itself and just played everything straight. The best comedic/dramatic moments come sans the "quirky" narration. Still, it has bite, and the acting is good.
A few good laughs and some great performances but ultimately undone by a lack of plot and cliche.

Love the scene where Naylor talks to Joey about "winning" an argument. This is a well written movie. If I were as into books as much as I am movies I might want to read it.

The HERO of this movie is a tobacco lobbyist! Just say that to yourself for a second. When you realize that you will realize how good this movie is.
