The Annunciation

n the Garden of Eden, Adam consumes the forbidden fruit because he cannot live without Eve, his true love. Banished from utopia by a wrathful God, the pair look to Lucifer to fulfill his promise and grant them secret knowledge. Thus begins The Annunciation as director Andras Jeles uses and entirely youthful cast to give us a stunning and controversial look into humanity’s past. Photographed against the background of spectacular scenery in Southern Hungary, The Annunciation makes use of all the elements to illustrate the horror and irrationality of our times.
