The Assistants

Weary of slaving for years as lowly assistants in the movie business, Jack Ryder (Chris Conner) and his friends stumble into a chance to own some production leverage of their own, based on a joke story treatment written for a nonexistent script. Ryder and his cohorts then have to scramble to take advantage, as the imaginary project suddenly takes on a life of its own in the hands of industry mogul Gary Greene (Joe Mantegna).
