Synopsis

It’s 1995. Earthlings release, at last, the Third World War. Italy annihilates Libya, which destroys Israel. Africa bombards Germany, which pulverizes France. Luxembourg crushes England. Sweden, Monte Carlo and Switzerland immolate themselves.

Death in their soul, the Russians decide to liquidate the Americans, who unleash their nuclear fleet…

When the tumult abates, only two continents exist. To the north, America and Russia merge and form the USSR.

To the south, all that still resembles a woman finds refuge in the territory of Vaginia. A wild hate soon pits the Big Two against each other.

Tension mounts. The degenerate mutants of the USSSR perfect a devastating weapon: the Big Piece. The buxom women of Vaginia construct Big Mama, a superbomb capable of annihilating the solar system.

The Council of the Universe, reunited en masse, designates a “Mister Good Offices” in the person of Fred, a simple garbageman of the sky. Diplomatic on occasion, wavering and sloppy, Fred goes with the Commander in Chief of the USSSR to appease him, but falls in love with his mistress, the young and ingenuous Liberty, whom he takes away.

Una, the “Big Supreme” of the Vaginians, listens distractedly to the pacifist arguments of Fred, who offers a more direct approach. But his modest equipment does not withstand the terrible lubriciousness of the giantess.

Hopes for a negotiated peace collapse. Fred, mad with rage at the the idea of being separated from Liberty, releases the Fourth World War.

It’s the fatal escalation as the two superbombs are loosened. The Big Piece rises, taking away Liberty. Fred rushes to her rescue, saving her by going away with her to a tropical island.

While enemy troops fraternize, the two superbombs collide and explode in a cosmic orgasm.

The hour of the Big Bang has struck: a colossal shock shakes the universe, the planets jump one to the other in a horrible fracas…. Love, nevertheless, survives the disaster: Fred and Liberty miraculously escape death and, under God’s taken-aback look, climb together… to the Seventh Heaven. —The Big Cartoon Database

Jean-Paul Walravens was so fascinated about drawing that he completed his studies at the St. Luke Institute of Fine Arts. Starting in 1960, he contributed as a caricaturist, cartoonist and illustrator for several newspapers and magazines, such as La Libre Belgique, Pan, Hara-Kiri, Harps, National Lampoon and The New York Times. His draughtsmanship was already biting and irreverently noisy. During this period, he adopted the pseudonym Picha.

In the late ’60s, he worked on an issue of the RTB / BRT, which was dedicated to pop music. The series of these issues was called vibrato, which was directed by Leo Quoilin. Some issues would be devoted to famous musician guests, like the famous guitarist and singer-songwriter Jimi Hendrix.

A passion for drawing logically led Picha to the world of comics. He became the author of several comic books… read more
