Drunken Father Figure of Old

That's awesome! Where did you get a tape of it before the theatrical release?
Opinion on this film will always be grossly divided, when really, it's such an amazing, tantalizing, and unforgettable work of horror and independent art.
The only horror movie that made me feel sick (way back when I was 10 yrs old).. HAHA!
This movie scared the hell out of me when I was a kid, great psychological horror and an important work in introducing the rather new genre at the time.
nothing beats the bad quality videotape copy i had before the cinema release... it had no studio intro or end credits making a much more authentic version of the footage found from the 3 filmmakers

For those with a big imagination, this movie is TERRIFYING if you really immerse yourself into it. It's because the movie forces the audience to become involved in the movie going experience! So whether or not you will like this movie, relies entirely on yourself and your imagination. I think that the most effective aspect of this movie is the fear of the unknown and it become the manipulation of your deepest fears!!
Incredibly creepy ending, but the middle of the film gets boring and the characters are truly annoying.
You have to hand it to these guys for creatng a horror flick that has genuinely scary moments on such a low budget. Proves once again that suspense trumps gore.
Should be called Rednecks in the Woods. I might have enjoyed this movie had the characters not been so obnoxious.
Holds up well. Ending is one of the greatest horror endings ever. The acting never seems fake. Love the mystery and suspense over actually seeeing anything.
I agree with Will 100% -- Marketing over substance, but the ending was still creepy as fuck.
While I consider the film to be a better example of marketing than, you know, actual filmmaking (the sheer omnipresence of the the word "fuck" is a great testament to why you generally give actors scripts), the ending still creeps me out to this day.
It´s true. Despite the fact that it used a basic story line, the movie exploited different techniques which achieved a horror film´s ultimate goal: to cause fear.
yeah, i'm a douche. but i love this movie. i've watched it about 6 times plus. it was my stepping stone into horror movies that actually freaked me out, and no one can take that away from me
