The Book of Stars

Hard-edged Penny McGuire (Mary Stuart Masterson) turns tricks to support herself and her terminally ill, 15-year-old sister, Mary (Jena Malone). While Penny takes drugs to blot out her work and her sister’s impending death, Mary gracefully confronts her disease. With help from a neighbor (Delroy Lindo), a jailed poet (D.B.
