The Boyfriend School

By any measure, cartoonist Gus Kubicek (Steve Guttenberg) is a nerd; he’s bookish, shy and has a hard time meeting women. No wonder his romance-novelist sister (Shelley Long) wants to make him over so Gus can finally get a date … or maybe even a girlfriend. But when his hipper, cuter alter ego attracts the attention of lovely journalist Emily Pear (Jami Gertz), Gus wonders whether she’ll stick around after she discovers who he truly is.
