It's cute, with a simple storyline which makes me think that this Studio Ghibli production is actually aimed at younger kids. But still.. This is the movie that made me fall in love with a non-human character - Baron!
i thought "whisper of the heart" was much better and i thought this story could have been a little deeper for what i envisioned of the baron but once i stopped the comparisons and treated this as an individual film in of itself, i was able to appreciate its humor and and story. this is a lot of fun but not something i really hold in my heart. it does make me want to save cats though!
i liked this a little better than whisper of the heart. in any event, my next cat will be named renaldo moon
