One of my favourite movies as a teen but now I just watch it for nostalgia. Great soundtrack, Brandon Lee and Alex Proyas are the main reason this movie works, the story is a little thin. Can't help but wonder what Brandon Lee would have become if he had lived, he would have been a good action star I think, its to bad the Lee curse caught up to him.

Good movie although it has dated somewhat regarding the obvious music video style it was shot in. Otherwise there are some good performances considering the lean and thin script and a cracking soundtrack filled to the brim with 90's alt rock.

The rooftop scene while NIN cover (Joy Division) is just so fucking awesome. Alex Proyas is a great director.

Conventional in every sense of the word, but one cannot help to feel something. You can notice obvious influence on The Dark Knight, and the film is photographed quite well. Good debut from Proyas who now has reversed the success of his early career. Not to mention, Brandon Lee's performance is remarkable. Too bad it was also this film that ended his life, yet started his career as a great performer.

Esta opera prima de Alex Proyas, con el paso del tiempo, se ha vuelto en una pieza de culto, debido en buena parte a su tragico interés extracinematografico (la muerte de Lee durante el rodaje). Sin embargo, a pesar de lo convencional de su trama, este es seguramente el trabajo más logrado de su director, debido a su deslumbrante aspecto visual, al buen desempeño del reparto y por su estupendo uso de la musica rock.

El poetico guitarrista Eric Draven es devuelto a la vida por un cuervo un año despues que su prometida y el fueran asesinados. El cuervo le guia a traves de la tierra de los vivos, y le dirige hacia sus asesinos: el lanzador de cuchillos Tin-Tin, el drogadicto Funboy, T-bird el conductor, y el ingenuo Skank. Uno tras otro,Eric le da a esos mafiosos a probar su propia medicina. Sin embargo, su lider Top-Dollar, uno de los señores mundiales del crimen, quien despide a sus enemigos con una Katana Japonesa y bromea sobre ello despues, pronto aprendera la leyenda del cuervo y el secreto de la invencibilidad del vigilante.

"What the crap?!" That line from the policeman made the film for me. Otherwise a goth's wet dream with little relevance.
