This is Kieslowski’s magnum opus. 10 hours of brilliance, at times touching, tragic, poetic, ironic, mysterious and spiritual.. also very funny (Decalogue 10). It’s not just an exploration of the 10 commandments but our struggle with morality… may it be objective and subjective and how religious canon cannot be absolute and cannot always be applied to what happens in life but it also doesn’t mean it should be abandoned… the eye of God is always watching… even that explanation may be a over simplification.

Things not to expect when watching this…
- Don’t expect a plot or traditional narrative.. this is beyond that.
- Don’t expect a specific stance on each commandment
- Don’t try watching all 10 at once.. I recommend 2 at a time or one each night.
- Don’t watch If you have a short attention span.

This is in way a very complicated and challenging series of films and it requires your undivided attention.
