Synopsis

When quiet 15-year-old misfit Patrick (Zac Efron) learns his friend Mr. Jones (Bill Cobbs), a hard-drinking former jockey, is nursing an injured racehorse back to health, the teen helps train the animal for the State Cup — and gains the self-confidence he never had. Patrick’s sporting efforts help him overcome challenges brought on by his disapproving parents and a snobby competitor in this family movie co-starring Crystal Hunt.
