Stylish direction good editing, good actors. Entertaining menage-à-trois. The scenes in the forest must be a direct reference to "Miller's Crossing".
Looks great in the first five minutes, but it all goes down hill the moment the characters open their mouths.
hmmmm, not really a good movie.
Worth a watch I suppose. There's a really gay twist in it, but.
The film offers generous servings of twists, tension, and character drama, which is normally the type of film I love. But, it's ever-on-edge tone greatly reduces it's enjoyment factor and takes a lot of sympathy away from the characters, victims and villians alike. In short, "Alice Creed" has a lot of attractive qualities, but her "personality" is, ultimately, a deal breaker.
Starts off quite well and with a lot of attention to detail, some clever twists in the story and Gemma Arterton naked. The ending feels disappointing since the build up was so well crafted.
no one does "gritty" like the Brits!! Great little movie with superb performances by the cast!
Three actors, one set, this could be an awesome play. The title is kind of a cheap joke - I guessed the ending because of it, and I wouldn't have if the movie was called "The Kidnapping of Alice Creed" or something. Pretty good, nonetheless.
Promising debut from first time director. I definitely recommend it for the effort...
Un sacco di colpi di scena inattesi. Non male.
this could have easily turned into another torture porn gorefest. I am glad, it did not. alas, the story is completely suspense-free and the twists/roundabouts are not that interesting/unexpected. Nonetheless, J Blakeson is clearly talented and I'm waiting for his sophomore act.
Started off as a "whoa," turned into a "hmmm" and ended as an "eh."
Enjoyable, with enough twists to keep it interesting. It falls apart towards the end, but at least we get to see Gemma naked. Full disclosure: I'm deleting this comment and giving it 5 stars if I ever meet her in person.
WORST FILM EVER? QUITE POSSIBLY
