The Double Hour is essentially a riff on Vertigo and one I enjoyed for the most part.

In watching it, I was more impressed with the acting of the two leads Filippo Timi and Ksenia Rappoport than the film itself, which seemed to lose steam during the third act.
It could conceivably be Johnny Depp and Scarlett Johansson.
I watched it as a double-feature with “Tell No One” and, ultimately, the latter is the better film.
I’d prefer it if it were with John Cusack and Maggie Gyllenhaal, but then again, I usually do.
A film I can recommend, but not in a passionate way.
