A disparate short for Keaton, made while his friend Fatty Arbuckle was going through his eventual acquittal for manslaughter, with Buster parodying William S. Hart’s sentimental westerns with dark aplomb. In one scene he walks in on his wife, with another man, and shoots them dead, only to realize that it isn’t his house at all, and backs out slowly. Funny of course, but probably the only time in his career where out and out murder is the exegesis for comedy.
