A middle aged German man in a white coat blows delicately into a small glass tube. Slowly a bubble forms at the end. Jost Haas, the last glass eye maker in Britain, is using skills unchanged for nearly two hundred years to make another unique glass eye. –Fabrica
Tomas graduated from film school in the UK in 2002. His documentary work has screened at festivals across the world, picking up prizes at several. They have also been used by the British Council as part of their worldwide promotion of new British cinema.
He was invited to participate in the first Talent Campus at the 53rd Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin and to be part of Cinemavvenire at the 61st Venice Film Festival.
From 2004 until the end of 2005 he worked at Fabrica, Benetton’s media and communication research centre in Italy directing commercials and documentaries. He now lives and works in London. –Fabrica
