A great follow up and on par with the first. While it doesn’t have Marlon Brando, it has Al Pacino upping his game and filling the spot quite nicely. It also has a highly interesting back story of Don Corleone featuring Robert De Niro. This is probably one of the best sequels ever made, due to the fact that it had the same feel of the first but is completely different. Francis Ford Coppola is a genius when it comes to drawn out storytelling and having a wide selection of characters and sub-plots. Making the family face the real world and interact with actual settings is a great move and one that clearly paid off.
