Synopsis

When stagecoach robber Bill Miner (Richard Farnsworth) emerges from prison after more than 30 years, he finds a changed world — and one in which stagecoaches have all but disappeared. Finding life on the straight and narrow dull, the bandit looks for a new mark — and finds it in the steam locomotive. Featuring beautiful cinematography and a fine performance by Farnsworth, the film earned two Golden Globe nods.
