Really good remake that trumps the original on all counts. Wonderfully shot and scored movie shock full of gore, scares and violence. Sadly enough this is the only good movie Aja has made in the US.

I am a girl and this is the last place on earth where I want to be. At least the men are being killed! See this movie and you'll know why you should never rely on anyone in the desert!

A step down from Aja's previous film, Haute Tension. Though this is a decent remake on basically about the survival of the fittest. It is part of the derivative torture porn movies, and the characters can be a bit stupid at times but nothing that aggravates you. Nice cinematography in places and a jarring orchestral score.
