Although all of the unresolved narrative issues, which are ultimately just ignored, this movie is very enjoyable. Clear and nice shots, good music and a balanced cast. Even with the blurry ending and even not concluding as much as it promises, it's worth watching.
The beginning of the movie was really great and delivered both some nice humorous and ominous touches. When the riot begins we are treated to some gory and brutal set pieces that will make you squirm. The end is a bit of a mess but gives the movie a weird and unique feel. Points goes to the awesome set designs, visual style and music. As "asylum-riot-movies" goes, you could do a lot worse than this...
