It’s a fascinating idea for a film. Unfortunately it’s quite a tough watch as it can drag quite a bit. I think perhaps if it was about 40mins instead of 1hour it might have fixed that problem. Regardless, there is a lot to love in this film. The images are beautifu, the camera work is greatl and the film has a real peace to it. Tilda is wonderful to watch on screen and some of her inner monologue is simply fantastic. So all in all, it’s a mixed bag. But one I’m glad I got to the bottom of.

First off, watch this with a pair of good speakers or at least a nice set of headphones. The soundscape by Simon Fisher Turner is strikingly incredible. I would say that the film is worth a watch if only for this.

Otherwise, it’s simply a travelogue with reflections from one end of the Berlin wall to the other. Some nice moments and interesting monologues keep the piece going but despite it being of interest it isn’t very interesting. Still it’s only an hour and it is Tilda Swinton after all so it’s worth the hour.
