This movie definitely has some flaws, but it's also smart and funny. The film is at it's best when it shows clips from North Korean films on split screen with the insanely banal quotes from the "great leader" and his views on the purpose of art and "dear leader"'s thoughts on cinema. The staged scenes drag though and seem tonally off.
