I think its the nostalgia and the lovely music but I can't be objective about this film!
Compare this marvel with the utterly pathetic remake of 2003 and... cry. Actually if you haven't seen said denigration of a remake then don't. Don't do that to yourself... please, you don't deserve that. If you have and are as a consequence seriously depressed then I may be able to help you. I'm not sure how, but I'll do my best.
