My main man Mann never ever fails! One of my heroes...alice's suicide? gawjus! the scenes behind the waterfall? gawjus!the soundtrack? gawjus. the fighting scenes at night...the wardrobe...him and her getting back together...Mann the manliest of the sweetest of hard-core romantics...opening sequence too good for words...
God, that film is soooo bad that it's almost criminal. The ending is the best part of it for two reasons: because it's emotionally nice and because you know that you only have three minutes to endure.
At times silly.Overall this movie is pretty average apart from a slightly memorable soundtrack, although the last 15 minutes of this movie warrant two stars alone for its grandness and unpredictably.
I must it admit that although its not my favorite Mann film, its definitely really goddamn epic. DDL is just incredible as always and the score is one of the best I've ever heard. Overall extremely enjoyable and exciting.
Melodramatic historical drama that I absolutely love. The music is unforgettable, as the DDL performance. And that closing sequence is just overwhelming.
m not a big fan of love stories but this one is mind blowing stuff, when DDL says " no matter where you go ,i ll find you" u believe him, such fantastic action set pieces, sound track frm heaven ,micheal mann at his best ,i wish he made a modern love story though there are scenes in heat but i wish to see a full blown love story micheal mann style
Great adventure. One of the best film soundtracks ever composed. Probably the most popular film that Daniel Day Lewis will ever appear in.
Michael Mann in prime form brings us a literary masterpiece and does not disappoint. The one film you can watch in history class and not fall asleep. The great Daniel Day-Lewis brings to life the american William Wallace, Natty Bumpo can kick ass!
now THIS is a film that's certainly worthy of a nice two-disc Criterion release!
